Italy and China ink deals worth $10bn.
Italy and China have inked business accords covering engineering and technology and financial cooperation.
At a news conference with Chinese Premier in Rome on 14 October, Italian Prime Minister said the deals should pave the way for further accords with the world's second largest economy.
Italian state investment fund FSI entered into a memorandum of understanding with China Investment, a sovereign wealth fund responsible for managing a part of China's foreign exchange reserves.
The funds will eye joint investment projects, in which each would provide up to €500m.
China wishes to strengthen cooperation with small and medium-sized firms and will encourage more Chinese tourists to visit Italy, according to Reuters.
