U.S. – Indonesia

The United States Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) on Thursday concluded two new grants to support the development of energy and information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure in Indonesia.

The first grant agreement worth US$ 1.07 million signed this week will fund a feasibility study to assist state-owned energy company Pertamina in its efforts to modernize the country’s petroleum refining industry.

The second grant worth $331, 646, signed with Indonesia’s National Geospatial Information Agency, will provide technical assistance to support the development of a national geospatial information system.

Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Jakarta, Kristen Bauer, who witnessed both signings, said “These two projects are another example of the growing cooperation under the U.S.–Indonesia Comprehensive Partnership.
