UK, Tourism awards (By Sylodium Import-Export directory)

The deadline for Dorset's first-ever tourism awards have been extended and businesses are being urged to enter. It is hoped the awards will help boost tourism in the county. The awards have been created by Robin Barker, of Services for Tourism. Barker said that “Visits to this year's Tourism Awards website have been stupendous but tourism is a diverse industry and it can be hard to get the invites out to every potential winner. I'm confident that the extra two weeks will help ensure we attract the best entries as well as give early entrants the chance to check things over." He added: "Last year was tough for tourism in the area." The awards are free to enter and there are 16 categories to choose from ranging from pub, attraction, B & B, event, activity, hotel, Holiday Park and self-catering holiday to awards for customer service, access, sustainable tourism and business tourism.
