Brother launches laser printers

Suits all business settings.

Brother has rolled out a powerful new series of colour laser printers and multi-function centres to service a full range of business environments. There are three single-function printers each offering up to 31 pages per minute colour and monochrome print speed as well as fastest in its class automatic 2-sided (duplex) scanning at up to 100 images per minute.

The customisable user interface provides up to 64 shortcut buttons for scan, copy or fax. “This one-touch operation can be customised to meet specific work flows that save both time and money,” Brother commercial solutions manager, Luke Howard said. The base model colour laser printer, the HL-L8260CDW retails at $449. Three multi-function centres are being released in July that allows user to print and scan directly with free Brother CloudApps to easily create, edit and convert documents. RRPs start at $799.

Brother has also released its first 2-inch format range of rugged mobile printers designed to wirelessly print labels and receipts. The RJ-2 series comes in four models and support Bluetooth and Wi-Fi technology in addition to iOs, Android, Windows mobile and Windows operating systems. Features include IP54 water certification and 2.5m drop protection with RRPs from $799.

Brother recently formed a partnership with Orange Sky Laundry, the world’s first free mobile laundry service for the homeless. With its logistically complex and admin-heavy business it needed help in getting information to those without internet access locate the charity. “The company considered the charity’s challenges and solutions before providing a range of printers to find the perfect fit to meet their needs,” Howard said. For the next three years Brother will donate all consumables required for the devices.
