Coming world trade by product. (By Sylodium, global import export directory).

Trade in all goods will increase in the next years.

There are some differences across countries. But in general, food, beverages and tobacco (often bought locally) will grow at a slower speed.

China will stimulate the growth of trade in raw materials and natural resources.

The newly emerging countries and already established markets will be looking for in the next years are industrial products like industrial machinery, road vehicles and transport equipment, but also office, telecom and electrical equipment. But we shouldn’t forget that each product is made, by parts, in several countries, so when the parts move across borders, often several times before the final product is created, customs agents at borders register the cumulative value of those products as a “traded” good.

Fuels, obviously, are also widely imported, similarly in ‘new’ growth markets than in the rest of countries.
