China surpasses US in international trade. (By Sylodium, import export directory).

In 2012, China became the world's biggest trading nation ($3.87 trillion) with the total value of that nation's exports and imports, overcoming the United States ($3.82 trillion).

Obviously, the Economy isn’t just the international trade, in fact,  The U.S. economy, according GDP ($15 trillion) has been double the size of China’s ($7.3 trillion), in 2011.

But it is noteworthy that an economy that is only a fraction of the size of the U.S. economy has a larger trading volume.

For many countries around the world (including BRIC and with this pace, by the end of the decade, even European countries) China is becoming rapidly the most important bilateral trade partner for them.
